Tax Preparation Services
Expert in preparing personal and sole proprietor (self-employed/independent contractor) tax returns since 1993,
my approach is to keep your taxes as low as possible while still remaining completely legal. I give
personal, one-on-one service with attention to detail. I have plenty of experience with all sorts of
industries, including the entertainment industry. I can also prepare corporate tax returns for
small businesses.
In addition to having done the full 60-hour tax course twice, I also do 20 hours of required
continuing education every year, and have to pass a rigorous 160-question exam
annually. I am registered with the State of California (California Tax Education Council/CTEC),
CTEC # A127865.

Bookkeeping & QuickBooks Services
Many "bookkeepers" are actually nothing more than data entry clerks who took a QuickBooks class
(or taught themselves). Unfortunately, without a good foundation in Accounting and Double-Entry Bookkeeping,
one cannot do true bookkeeping. All those numbers need to go in the right places!
I have studied Bookkeeping and Accounting, and am a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Since I am also
an experienced, registered Tax Preparer, I know how to properly set up your accounts and categorize
your financial transactions.

- Maintenance Bookkeeping: Weekly, Monthly or whatever works for you, tailored to fit your exact needs – updating
and reconciling all accounts (bank, credit card and others), bills payment, report generation (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet

as well as untangle any problems that may exist.

Budget Help & Planning
What is a budget? "Budget" is defined as: "A summary of intended expenditures along with proposals for how to meet them."
These days, budgeting is crucial in order to remain in control of your finances. Whether or not
you are using any sort of bookkeeping software (such as Quicken, QuickBooks or other similar products),
one still needs a good budget and a way to easily see and forecast upcoming income and
expenses.
I can help you set up a workable budget – one which you can maintain without having to be a
computer geek – and help you target out what you need to do to remain financially
viable, pay your bills, and get ahead.
Quit banging your head against the wall – it's always easier to have somebody else there to bounce

Transcription, Word Processing & Macro Services
I've been working with computers since 1976, before word processing was even invented. Word processing since
1984, I'm expert in Microsoft Word (including writing Visual Basic for Applications/VBA macros) and proficient in
WordPerfect.
Typing Speed: 150 WPM (yes, you read that right!).
Transcription (from full-sized cassettes, microcassettes and digital files, including from DVD and CD).
Raw entry from hard copy, as well as clean-up of scanned documents. Many scanned documents contain typos or formatting
problems that need to be found and corrected.
Legal, Medical, Insurance, Real Estate, I.T., Aerospace, Engineering – you name it, I can do it. I worked in
Silicon Valley for years, and then spent 25 years in the legal/medical industry (as well as other areas),
and have plenty of experience in this regard.
VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) Macro Programming: I can automate your tasks and save you lots of time

Editing & Proofreading Services
Having also been a writer (technical writing, fiction and poetry), editor and proofreader since the 1970s, as well as having
tutored English and English as a Second Language throughout the years, I have a
good command of grammar and style. I also speak several other languages to varying degrees, and am
familiar with the obstacles that non-native English speakers run into when writing. I can certainly
help smooth out the language for a professional end product.
I can edit your book, manual or manuscript (or any document) for style, or just for
grammar and punctuation, as you desire.
Proofreading adds an extra pair of eyes to catch and clean up all typos, missed punctuation, etc., which are easy to miss
when you've been looking at your own stuff for hours and hours. I am blessed (or cursed) in that
typos just jump off the page at me! Your documents will be professional and error-free.
I can either mark up your hard copy, edit your digital file in Microsoft Word, or track changes in your
Microsoft Word document, giving you the opportunity to review and accept or reject changes as you wish.
If you prefer, I can take your rough draft document and completely rewrite it.
